Hi, I’m Jude. Founder, Voice Coach & Speech & Drama Teacher
I founded Finding Voices in 2012 with a simple belief: that confident speaking is a life skill, and every child deserves to be taught it properly.
My background spans two worlds — and that's what makes these sessions different. I've spent 16 years as a specialist LAMDA and speech & drama teacher, working as a peripatetic drama teacher at independent schools in Hertfordshire, and currently teach one day a week at St Christopher's Prep School in Hove. Earlier in my career I spent two years in Hong Kong heading up the English and Drama departments at a learning centre, where I introduced LAMDA exams — that centre is now LAMDA's official representative in Hong Kong.
Alongside this, I'm a qualified Voice Coach for adults, holding an MA in Voice Studies from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, a LAMDA Diploma in Speech & Drama in Education, and a BA in English Literature. I also work with senior executives and corporate leaders through my sister company, Speaking Works.
That combination, deep specialist knowledge of LAMDA and performance, plus professional-level voice coaching, is something you won't find in many places.
I work with a small number of pupils at a time, entirely 1:1, online or in person in Hove. Sessions are focused, practical, and tailored entirely to your child and what they're preparing for.
Companies I have worked with running public speaking and communications workshops:
“If you don’t have the confidence to speak well how can you teach, inspire, sell or educate others?”
